1 Litre of Tears

                                                                   " 1 Litre of Tears"

Recently, I am continue watching the Japanese drama "1 Litre of Tears". This beautifully moving drama is based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25.The script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled One Litre of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone. Fifteen year old Ikeuchi Aya was just a normal girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a shop that makes tofu. As time passed, unusual things started happening to Aya lately. She started falling down often and walks in a strange way. Her mother Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration-a terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least. (sypnosis which I copy from somewhere). This drama is entitled "1 Litre of Tears" because before she is leaving her high school to transfer to disability boarding school she had cried 1 litre of tears to smile, stand and talk in front of the class.

From this drama, I really learnt a lot. As normal, healthy person, we really had to appreciate the life we had now and we should not gave up easily. I admired the spirit of Aya to continue her life even though at first she could accept that she had that incurable disease. Loved Aya family where they really gave her a lot of support as well as the doctor. Everyone was impressed with her spirit to live.

This make me think that in future I should not give up easily and try to do the best in what I am doing. For this moment, I hope I can do well in my study and try to graduate as first class honours degree. =) To all my friends, hope all of us can fight for our dreams!!!!!

Aza...Aza....Fighting....Fight o-OH !!!!!!!
